Scoops & Giggles is a family-owned ice cream shop and bakery at 180 E Avenue in downtown Limon. We hand-dip ice cream, we bake, and we make coffee and espresso drinks — which covers just about every reason a person wants to get out of a car.

Coffee for the driver, something sweet for everyone else

Long drives run on caffeine. If you're the one behind the wheel, a fresh coffee or espresso drink does more for the next stretch than another energy drink from a cooler. Everyone else can go the dessert route.

And if you'd rather not sit down, something from the bakery case travels fine. Take it with you and eat it thirty miles down the road.

Twenty minutes is enough

You don't need to reshape your itinerary. Pull in, stretch, let the kids pick something, sit for a few minutes, and go. The point isn't to add a destination to the trip — it's to break the drive up so the second half feels shorter than the first.

In our experience, the stops people remember from a road trip are almost never the big planned ones. They're the small-town shop where somebody was nice to them.
